Bio

Alexandru serves as Director of AGERPRES, the National News Agency. Prior to this, he was in charge with the press relations, press releases and TV appearances for the Social Democrat Party. From 2009-10, he served as parliamentary counselor in the press office of the Senate, where he was in charge with day-to-day operations and the relation with the press.

From 2007-08, Alex was an Expert in the press office of the Social Democrat Party. From 2006-07, he was a political consultant with the Strategic Thinking Group where he worked on press monitoring, consultancy and quantitative and qualitative reports.

He is the Secretary General of the Association of Balkan News Agencies and a member in the boards of both the European Alliance of News Agency and the Black Sea Association of News Agencies
Alex holds a MA and a BA in Electoral Management and Political and Electoral Marketing from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the National School of Political and Administrative Studies. He has training in Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy from the Romanian Diplomatic Institute.
