BIO
Andrei currently serves as President of Bit Sentinel Security, where he is in charge of the development of new practices and methodologies for assessments, quality assurance, penetration testing and social engineering. As President of the Cyber Security Research Centre he is implementing guidelines for the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security. Maintaining and developing connections with industry leaders is one of his main responsibilities as a Founder and Project Manager of DefCamp. As the Vice President at GREPIT Boto?ani, Andrei served as a Jury Committee Member for the Web category.
As an IT professional, Andrei has expertise on designing, developing, performing and reporting on penetration testing activities, social engineering attacks, and business management and recovery.
He has been a guest speaker at several IT Security and technology events such as Defensive Cyberspace Operations & Intelligence, DefCamp, Cyber Security Romania, Eurosfat and GREPIT. Also, he is a frequent speaker at ProTV, Antena1, Digi 24, TVR1, PC Garage, Realitatea.net and contributor at Ziarul Financiar, Adevarul, Gandul, Softpedia, PC World. Among his contributions is “Flame-Flame-the cyber disembodied weapon”, “Malware on Android-statistics, behavior, identification and neutralization”; “A journey through 2012 cyber-attacks and Romania’s position on cyber war”.
Andrei is a member of the CAESAR Foundation and part of the Organising Committee for Cyber Security Challenge coordinated by the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security. He has a MA from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, the University of Bucharest.
