Bio
From August 2015 to January 2016, Bogdan served as a Political Adviser to the Mission of Romania to the UN where he wrote speeches in English and French and was responsible with representation, drafting and reporting of the Security Council, General Assembly and Disarmament-related affairs, as well as counter-terrorism related issues including gender-related issues in sectarian conflicts and protection of Human Rights defenders in counter-terrorism.
From September 2014 to May 2015, he was a Contributor to the Jesuit Refugee Service in Paris, where he offered assistance to refugees in order to achieve legal status in France and supported JRS experts in preparing the revised law project for the Law concerning the Asylum in the French Senate.
From March 2014 to August 2014, he was a Junior Council Secretary Assistant for the NATO International Staff in Brussels where he assisted the Head Of Council Secretary Office (CONSEC). Prior to this position, Bogdan interned in the Political Division of Romania’s Permanent Delegation to NATO where he assisted Romanian diplomats in preparing the documentation regarding NATO Working Sessions and the North Atlantic Council.
Bogdan Topan graduated from Paris Institute of Political Science (Sciences Po) and has a MA in International Security from the Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po-PSIA), specialized in Diplomacy and Intelligence Studies. He was selected for a specialized master in Defense and Geopolitics to the Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defense (IHEDN). Bogdan is proficient in both French and English.
