Bio
Clara is currently Assistant Professor, at the Faculty of International Business and Economics (REI), within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) where she teaches International Trade, Trade Policy, World Economy and Research Methodology. She is also a Senior Researcher with the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions and a Consultant with the World Bank on the evaluation of the overall structure and financing of local government in Romania, and evaluation of the Government’s decentralization strategies.
As a Consultant for GEA Strategy and Consultancy Clara works on the development of strategies for local public administrations in Romania and on the development of the Romanian “Competiveness Operational Program 2014-2020”.
From 2010-14, she was a consultant for Volin Consulting focusing on strategy and project development. Prior to that, she was a project manager for EfectSistem.
Clara holds a double degree MBA from CNAM, Paris and the National Institute for Economic Development (INDE), Bucharest, an MRes in Political Science and an MSc in Conflict Studies from the Government Department, at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She has published several peer-reviewed articles in international academic journals and a series of chapters in various edited volumes – Volintiru, C and Gherghina, S. 2015.
