Bio
Prior to working as a Legal Adviser for the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics, Denis worked as an Adviser for the Ministry for Information Society where he also worked as a summer intern.
Denis is a member of Smart City, a Romanian based NGO active in the area of Open Data, e-Government, e-Learning and Smart City solutions for citizens and institutions.
He worked as an intern in two Law Offices in Timisoara where he assisted lawyers in litigation and in their relations with state authorities.
Denis has experience in strategy and leadership as he worked on a joint Ministry for Information Society – World Bank Project for developing a M&E system for the Monitorization and Implementation of the Romanian Digital Agenda 2020.
He was a trainer on the subject of Legal aspects of innovation in IT at JCI Danube Conference and a U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program Alumnus. Also, he worked on drafting national legislation with the purpose of transposing PSI Directive and organized public consultations and debates with interested parties and stakeholders and served as Deputy to the Secretary General in NATO Moot summit organized by the Romanian Government.
Denis is currently enrolled in a MA program in Diplomatic Techniques at the University of Bucharest and holds a BA from West University of Timisoara Law School.
While a university student, Denis helped organize events in Students’ Festivals and won the Best Advocate distinction in the regional Moot Competition organized by the Faculty of Law in cooperation with ELSA Timisoara.
