Bio
During his three months internship in 2015 at the Institute of Studies for Public Order of the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs Drago? researched issues involving national criminal law and public order and was active in developing an appropriate methodology for the Lessons Learned Council to be created within the Ministry.
From December 2014 to July 2015, he was an intern at the NATO Office of Legal Affairs at the NATO HQ in Brussels where he provided advice to the Secretary General’s Private Office, the International Staff and NATO subsidiary bodies on all legal issues associated with the responsibilities, functions and operations of NATO. Between September and November 2012 Drago? was an intern with the Permanent Mission of Romania to the UN where he worked on multilateral diplomacy, focusing on international law and security.
Prior to his international career, he was an intern with the Legal Department of DacAir in Bucharest where he assisted in litigation cases and provided basic legal research on debt recovery. From 2011-14, he was an associate editor and contributor at “Curierul National” Newspaper, writing articles on various topics.
In 2013 and 2014, Drago? represented the University of Bucharest in a series of international Moot Court Competitions, participated in the Model European Union and was a member of the European Law Students Association International Delegation to the UN ECOSOC.
Drago? is currently enrolled in a MA program in Security and Diplomacy at the National School of Political Science and Public Administration in Bucharest. He holds a BA in Public International Law from the University of Bucharest. In 2015 he took the NATO Legal Advisers Course at the NATO School in Germany and participated in trainings organized by the Romanian Government on mediating Collective Labour Disputes and on Romania’s National Strategy against Corruption and Open Governance. Drago? holds an EU Advocacy&Lobby certificate. He is fluent in English and advanced in French.
