Bio
Dragos serves as Chief of Staff to the Minister in the Romanian Ministry of Youth and Sports where he works on public policy, good governance issues and inter-institutional communication.
From 2008-14, he was an Advisor in the Department for Defense Policy and Planning in the Romanian Ministry of Defense where he worked on resource allocation, security and defense services, public administration, post-conflict reconstruction, the national strategy on civil capabilities, international agreements, acquis communitaire on security and defense, and European integrations issues.
He worked as an intern at the International Relations General Delegation of the Paris City-hall, at the Romanian Delegation to UNESCO, at the Euro-Atlantic Integration Service and at the Defense Commission of the Romanian Senate.
As Founder of S.C. Orbis Conecto S.R.L. and Vice-president of the Romanian – Cuban Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Dragos works on opening international market opportunities to Romanian businesses.
Dragos serves as Vice-president of the League of Romanian Students Abroad. As Co-founder he is in charge of the internal organization, relationship-building and partnerships both at national and at international level. Dragos is a Senior Fellow at the EURISC Foundation and Vice-president and co-founder of the CAESAR Foundation.
He is a member and co-initiator of various NGOs and civil society initiatives and programs such as the Extreme Events Think-Tank focusing on research robustness and resilience of systems; the Romanian chapter of EURODEFENSE; the Romanian Association of French Government Scholars; the Romanian Club for External Relations Diplomacy and European Affairs; the Romanian Society of International Relations.
Drago? collaborated in various tomes on international relations such as “1968. Prague Spring”; “Romania-F.R. of Germany. Diplomatic Relations”; “Romania at the Paris Peace Conference 1919-1920”. He published articles in academic journals and in various Romanian newspapers. He was selected by Forbes Romania as part of the first ever top 30 UNDER 30, most promising young leaders.
Drago? holds a MA in International Relations, a MA in History of International Relations, and a BA in Political Science from the Université Panthéon Sorbonne. He holds a BA in Political Science from the National School of Political Sciences and Administrative Studies, Bucharest and International Diplomas in Public Administration from the Ecole nationale d’Administration, France and in International Relations and National Security Studies from the National Defense College.
Dragos holds a series of certificates in areas such as training public servants, leadership in education, post-conflict reconstruction, multicultural dialogue, crisis management and the Common Security and Defense Policy.
Dragos is fluent in English and French.
