Bio
Colonel Filofteia Repez is an Associate Professor within the Security and Defense Faculty of the National Defense University where she teaches joint operations, national and Euro-Atlantic security, political-military doctrine, and strategic studies.
She was the chief editor of the Publishing House of the National Defense University. From 2007-10, she served as Head of the cataloguing tools office of the National Codification Bureau where she was in charge of attributing the NATO economic agent code to Romanian economic agents.
Col. Repez served for 15 years in the accounting and logistics departments of a series of military units.
She was awarded the Homeland Service Honorific Sign for Officers for 20 years in active duty and outstanding results in fulfilled attributions and training and the third Prize of the Romanian Military Thinking Journal, for the book Political Aspects of Romania’s Security.
She is an Associate Member of the Romanian Committee of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology within the Romanian Academy, and holds membership in the Commission for evaluation and quality assurance in Master study programs, the Ethics Committee and the Scientific Committee of the National Defense University.
She took Postdoctoral courses in management, student-centered education, military science, security, intelligence, strategic leadership, security operations, stability, transition and post-conflict reconstruction, logistics.
She holds a MA in Executive Power and Public Administration from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies and a BA in Land Forces Command from the Command and Staff Faculty of the National Defense University. She also holds a BA in Law and a C series MA in Law, both from the Valahia University of Targoviste.
