Bio
Colonel Calop?reanu serves as Deputy Commandant of the “Carol I” National Defense University. During his military career, he served as an instructor at the Academy of Advanced Military Studies (1991-1994), General Staff Officer at the General Staff, Course Director at both the NATO/PfP Regional Training Center, Bucharest and at the NATO School Oberammergau, Germany, and director of the Crisis Management and Multinational Operations Department at the “Carol I” National Defense University.
Colonel Calop?reanu has a PhD in Military Sciences and has a qualified certificate as PhD Coordinator. He graduated from the “Nicolae B?lcescu” Military Academy, Sibiu and the Academy for Advanced Military Studies – the Faculty of Logistics, Bucharest. Colonel Calop?reanu has extensive training in psycho-pedagogical enhancement skills, skills improvement in organizational and defense resource planning, NATO and British Armed Forces logistical procedures, peace support operations, CJTF planning, military joint multinational operations.
Over the years he published extensively on military matters. He authored four books, authored or co-authored a dozen chapters in specialty books and a number of research projects, studies, and articles. Col. Calop?reanu was awarded the Military Order, 3rd Class; the Honorary Sign In the Service of the Armed Forces, 20 years; the Romanian Armed Forces Honor Emblem; the Logistics Honor Emblem; Communication and Information Honor Emblem; air Forces Honor Emblem; the Army Honor Emblem; Military Achievement Medal, Rand of Knight.
