Bio

Manuela is an international affairs practitioner with expertise as a political analyst, liaison and advocacy advisor with 14 years experience between Europe and MENA. In 2011 Foreign Policy named her as one of the most influential Romanian Thinkers that contributed to Development, Economy and Foreign Affairs.

She has an experience of over 12 years in analysis, project management and institutional build up and over eight years in intelligence, strategic and tactical planning, and the development and maintenance of stakeholders relations across continents. Manuela was a Media Fellow and Contributing Editor to the World Security Network Foundation. She served as a political and media adviser to parties, political movements (Islamic and non) and government entities in MENA and Europe and did consulting work on the formulation of plans and research related to non proliferation, nuclear security engagement and transnational policy response, focusing on the Gulf and Asia.

She worked with, for, and in between various entities – state and non–state actors as mediator, negotiator and representative and has experience in senior management position and leadership in political and security/defense mediation and representation.

Manuela authored articles, reports, policy studies, and TV analysis on human rights in Lebanon, Middle East politics, Islamic movements, global governance and economic advancement in underdeveloped countries. She was also a lecturer on Middle East and European Affairs, regional security, and economic diplomacy in Romania, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Palestine – West Bank and Gaza.

Manuela worked in Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Qatar, Romania and Czech Republic.

She holds a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from the Oradea University and a MA in Human Rights and Democratization from West University of Timisoara.
