Bio
Ambassador Einik is an associate professor at the American Graduate School of Paris and CEO of Underwater Optical Technologies, Riga Latvia, a start-up in the field of underwater optical communications for the oil and gas offshore sector
From 2012-14, he served as Executive Director of the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine, a multilateral international organization funded by the US and the EU to support their non-proliferation objectives in countries of the former USSR. From 2009-14, he was Deputy Executive Director of the International Science and Technology Center- Moscow, a sister organization to the STCU and similarly funded.
From 2002-09, he served as Chairman of the Board of AMGAZ SA, a US/Romanian public private partnership to develop underground natural gas storage facilities.
Michael Einik served as American Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia, Charge d’Affaire of the American Embassy in Bucharest, Chief of European Personnel Division, Bureau of Personnel, Department of State, Washington D.C., Consul General in the American Consulate General in Zagreb, Croatia and Chief Energy Officer in the U.S. Embassy Moscow, U.S.S.R.
