Bio
From 2006-14, Gen. T?nase served as expert, project manager and Head of SAR Coordination Center in the Romanian Administration of Air Traffic Services where he focused on search and rescue missions in cases of civil aviation accidents.
From 2001-05, he served as Secretary of State and Director of Special Telecommunications Service. From 1997-99, Gen. T?nase was general director at UTI Systems Divisions in charge of coordination of security and communications systems. From 1993-97, Gen. T?nase served as Undersecretary of State and Deputy Director of the Special Transportation Service. From 1987-93, he served in the Romanian Government, as a Deputy Commander of the National Center of Special Telecommunications in the Ministry of Defense and as both chief of HR radiocommunications and radiocommunications specialist in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
From 1976-78, Gen. T?nase was an active officer in the Department of State Security and from 1972-76, he was an avionics engineer, going through training courses for the IL-62 and BAC 1-11 aircrafts.
Gen. T?nase holds extensive training as a SAR administrator from the Aviation Academy of Singapore, in modern radiocommunication systems from Motorola University in Illinois, and in aircraft communication systems and equipment repair.
Gen. T?nase is a graduate of the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, Automatic System and Computer Faculty.
